VICTORIA FIRE FIGHTERS CHARITABLE FOUNDATION

Our newly formed charitable foundation has finally been accepted for tax-exempt status as a registered charity. Effective, December 06, 2006 we qualified as defined in the Income Tax Act.

George Jay Elementary School Charitable FoundationOur wish, as a group, is to make a positive impact on the underprivileged youth and children within our community. Following that, the funds we have raised and collected up to date have been earmarked. They will be dispersed to the George Jay Elementary School 'Breakfast Fund'. Here, we hope that offering a healthy and nutritious breakfast to those children, who are not fortunate enough to receive one at home, will make a difference in how they learn and develop in their formative years.

As well, in memory of Jeff Strang, a friend and fellow firefighter, who passed away tragically in a kayaking accident this year, we will now make an annual donation to honour his spirit, to the BC Creek Protection Society. Jeff was an avid outdoorsman and this society dedicated to preserving the natural waterways was dear to him.

We are looking forward to growing as a charity from our infancy and are open to all ideas and suggestions that would be helpful in our fundraising process. Thank you from the Board of Directors.

Please feel free to email us if you have any inquiries.
