On June 4th, 2011 Variety held their annual Boat for Hope. This event helps kids who have special needs to live like a pirate for a day. Kids collected loot from boats anchored in the inner harbour (including the Victoria Fire Boat). The afternoon was finished up with a land party that featured a BBQ, games, and live entertainment.
