Fire 1100 Block Finlayson
Smoking
materials are believed to be the cause of a fire that damaged a basement
suite at a house in the 1100 block of Finlayson Street on December 18,
2007. 9-1-1 calls were received at dispatch just before 3:00pm, and
2 pumpers, 1 ladder, 1 rescue and the command vehicle responded. Smoke
and flames could be seen coming from the basement window on the front
side of the building by arriving crews, who worked quickly to extinguish
the blaze. There were no injuries on scene, but damages are estimated
at approximately $100,000.
